Land use is closely linked with such diverse issues as quality of our life, economic vitality and traffic congestion. In order to accomplish the desirable land use, it is necessary to comprehend people’s sense of value, needs, industrial structures and travel behavior, as well as to implement multidirectional measures based on the findings from the situation analysis and overseas cases.
Land use issues, ranging from local to national levels, are addressed in our studies as follows:
- Traffic assessment to request development plans to ensure decent transportation services,
- Development of the city with low traffic-load to adjust urban land uses in the era of aging and decreasing population and
- Two Layered Broader Regions to contribute to the self-sustaining development of the region.
